Designer Migi Rihasalay was once again honored by Indonesia Awards Magazine. This is the second time for Migi, her nickname, to win the award.
Indonesia Awards Magazine, Migi won again because of her achievements in the social field. The long-haired woman could not show a happy look when her name was called.
“This is the second award that Migi has received. Last year Migi also got it after promoting the Tanjung Lesung Joglo house community. The Joglo House is a gathering place for artists and designers,” she said when met at the Sultan Hotel Jakarta, recently.
Meanwhile in 2021, the award was won after he made a work by collecting used bottles and inviting children to paint on them.
“This year, this achievement is when Migi builds and works together to collect and paint bottles. All of that Migi gets from the work and social interaction that we get,” he said.
Furthermore, Migi also told how he got the award. He also felt proud because he was able to realize his idea to become a work.
“And certainly he must be a figure. This is proud because it can be an inspiration. How proud I am as an Indonesian woman who can realize her idea to continue working. Because I work in the field of creativity,” she said.
Migi admitted that the award she received this time felt different and more to the heart. Because, she considered that she could share knowledge with the community.
“The designer is the background and only the work. If asked which is bigger, this award goes to my heart. Because we can provide knowledge to the community. We are also on behalf of Indonesian artists,” he said.
Not stopping here, Migi said he would explore and continue to create works. He also hopes that in the future he will be able to make achievements and get more awards.
“I want to keep digging, want to continue to make teaching artists. Because Migi has a Joglo house and there is a container. I hope to get another award,” said Migi Rihasalay.
