Jakarta — PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN), one of Indonesia’s largest copper and gold producers, has been awarded the Best Practices in Processing title at the 4th ASEAN Mineral Awards (AMA) 2025. The recognition was presented during the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Minerals in Vientiane, Laos, underscoring AMMAN’s leadership in innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
The company achieved a 5.6% increase in mineral recovery rates through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), equipment upgrades, and process optimization in grinding, milling, and flotation. This technological leap not only boosted efficiency but also set new benchmarks for the region’s mining sector.
AMMAN’s environmental stewardship was also highlighted. The company has:
- Reduced CO₂ emissions through a 26.8 MW solar power plant.
- Improved water efficiency by 40% since 2016.
- Reclaimed nearly 800 hectares of land, planting 1.8 million trees across 99 native species.
Beyond operations, AMMAN’s social empowerment programs have delivered measurable impact in West Sumbawa. Initiatives include reducing local stunting rates by 30%, reviving traditional weaving through women’s cooperatives, and developing surfing infrastructure that supports sustainable tourism.
