Kuala Lumpur – At the heart of Southeast Asia’s economic transformation, Malaysia has once again celebrated its leading innovators and industry shapers through the 2025 Malaysia National Business Awards, Malaysia International Business Awards, and Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards. Hosted by Asian Business Review, the award trilogy underscores the country’s steady rise as a strategic innovation hub in the ASEAN region.
Held on 20 March 2025 at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, the event brought together trailblazers across banking, technology, aviation, education, energy, and more. These awards reflect Malaysia’s commitment to excellence, digital transformation, and cross-sector resilience in a post-pandemic economy.
The National Business Awards recognised homegrown companies such as AmBank, Malaysia Airlines, CGC Digital, and MRANTI for their achievements in innovation and sustainable growth. Notably, Sunway Medical Centre Penang and Yayasan Bank Rakyat were acknowledged for their leadership in healthcare and social impact.
In parallel, the International Business Awards honoured foreign-linked enterprises including McDermott, Asia Pacific Aircraft Component Services, and Teleperformance Malaysia—highlighting Malaysia’s strategic role in hosting and enabling global businesses.
Meanwhile, the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards served as a reflection of the nation’s tech-readiness, rewarding companies like Boost, Fourier Intelligence, PETRONAS, and Vase.ai for breakthroughs in AI, automation, fintech, and ESG-driven education. Government agencies such as MCMC and MRANTI also emerged as active players in tech-enabled public service delivery.
Across the three award platforms, one common thread was evident: Malaysia is aligning its economic ambitions with digital agility, human capital development, and regional competitiveness. The country’s public-private synergy was also underscored by the presence of both state-linked entities and agile startups in the winners’ circle.
Judged by seasoned experts from Deloitte, EY, Baker Tilly, and Crowe, the awards not only validated operational excellence but also mapped the direction of Malaysia’s economic future—one defined by innovation-led growth, inclusive entrepreneurship, and smart infrastructure.
As Malaysia strengthens its voice in Asia’s economic discourse, the 2025 awards stand as a testament to the country’s strategic pivot—from resource-based development to a digitally enabled, knowledge-driven economy.
