Ning Lia Receives Indonesia Next Future Leader 2024 Award from Asia Award Magazine

Ning Lia, a prominent figure renowned for her multifaceted roles as an activist, including serving as the Chairwoman of DPD Perempuan Tani HKTI East Java and Secretary of MUI East Java, has once again captured the spotlight for her outstanding contributions and innovations.

This time, Ning Lia has been honored by the prestigious Asia Award Magazine with the “Indonesia Next Future Leader 2024” award. The award ceremony took place during the 4.0 award trends ceremony at Hotel Mercure Grand Mirama Surabaya on Friday, April 26, 2024.

With an impressive track record, it comes as no surprise that Ning Lia has been recognized by Indonesia Award Magazine, a reputable institution in Indonesia known for its high credibility, exclusivity, and prestige in awarding outstanding individuals across various sectors, including public figures, bureaucrats, companies, and social organizations.

Despite not holding any public office, Ning Lia, the niece of the Governor of East Java, continues to receive accolades. A testament to her achievements is seen in her victory during the 2024 elections, where she garnered the highest votes nationwide as a non-incumbent female senator.

“Indonesia Award Magazine has long been presenting awards to Professional Leaders, including those from the Police, Military, Entrepreneurs, Bureaucrats, Executives, Politicians, and Educators who have undergone rigorous selection processes. We play an active role in recognizing achievements and identifying opportunities for improvement. And Ning Lia is one of them,” explained Dr. Ketut Abid Halimi, S.Pdi, M.Pd.C.Ht., Director of Research at Indonesia Award Magazine.

Further elaborating, Ketut Abid Halimi, a renowned motivator in Asia, highlighted that Ning Lia’s selection stemmed from her ability to build and demonstrate a personal brand that continues to inspire and foster a mental revolution worthy of emulation.

“Ning Lia is an incredibly inspirational figure, not only for women but also for the young generation of Indonesia,” stated the motivator from Bali.

Expressing her gratitude for the award, Ning Lia remarked, “I am truly thankful that my journey has been positively received by the public, leading to this recognition.”

She hoped that this award would serve as one of the answers to the aspirations of the people of East Java who elected her as a Member of the DPD RI (Regional Representative Council) in the 2024 elections.

“A political journey is not about securing a comfortable seat but about fulfilling responsibilities and being accountable. For me, this award represents a significant hope. It is a testament to why I aspire to continue my political journey, educating the public that politics is not about outcomes but about the process. It’s about striving to uphold goodness and honesty in every step we take,” emphasized Ning Lia, the daughter of the late prominent NU figure, KH. Masykur Hasyim.

Prior to receiving the award from IMA, Ning Lia has been frequently honored with numerous awards, including the 2020 APN 100 National Young Leaders, 2020 Inspirational Young Figures of East Java from the Nahdliyyin Journalists Forum, Agricultural Women’s Activist from DP3AK East Java, Inspirational Women for Children from Memorandum, National Women’s Figure Concerned with Tourism Villages from IKMAPAS, 2023 Inspirational Women of Jatim Awards from Anugerah TIMES Indonesia, Popular Women Figures from Jawa Pos Radar Madura, and the Woman of The Year Jatim 2023.
