“Yogyakarta Set to Host Grand Celebration for 78th Anniversary of the Indonesian Air Force”

The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) will be holding its 78th anniversary celebration in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The peak event is scheduled to take place at the Air Force Academy (AAU) in Sleman, DIY, on April 22, 2024, marking 13 days since the official anniversary on April 9th.

“The first thing we will do is publish information about the peak event of the 78th TNI AU Anniversary in Yogyakarta,” said Air Force Information Service Head (Kadispenau) Colonel (Pnb) Ardi Syahri during the “Farewell and Welcome Ceremony for Kadispenau” held at the Persada Building, Halim Perdanakusuma, East Jakarta, on Thursday (18/4/2024) evening.

This publication, continued Ardi, is part of the directive from the Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal Mohamad Tony Harjono regarding the AMPUH program, an acronym for adaptive, modern, professional, superior, and humanist. Ardi explained that publication falls under the humanist program to introduce the TNI AU to the public. “We are humanist towards the community. We are loved by the community. So that the TNI AU’s future programs will be supported by the community,” said Kadispenau.

Ardi said that there won’t be many changes in the celebration of the 78th TNI AU Anniversary. The celebration will be held with a ceremony and aircraft attractions owned by the TNI AU. It is planned that the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto will act as the ceremony inspector (irup).
